The National Inhalants Information Service (NIIS) can offer free research assistance on a number of levels to those working with inhalants users:

For journal articles, books, reports, videos etc search the Inhalants Database. Whilst searching the database you will notice that where possible links to full text have been provided. Where items are not available electronically the NIIS will provide you with items free of charge, just choose the items you want and use the Request feature from within the database.

A CD ROM - Volatile Substance Use: A Resource for Professionals developed by the Drug and Alcohol Office for workers who come into contact with people who use volatile substances. The CD ROM brings together a wide range of literature and other resources to provide a framework to support an effective response both locally and statewide. It contains key documents outlining the WA Government’s response to volatile substance use; guiding principles for working with retailers, parents, schools, the media, communities and clients; up-to-date information, (current at time of production) WA, national and international research findings and reviews; a variety of ready-to-use resources including an information workshop, PowerPoint presentations and print resources.
